Sheeeeeee's coming!

It seems like she just left, but today we booked travel arrangements for Louise to spend another 2 months with us.... Louise makes all our costumes. Even though she will be here over the holidays, and her birthday, this won't be a vacation by any means. All four of our shows are starting to show their age, and over these next 2 months a major costume overhaul will take place. This is always exciting because nothing is ever 'planned' when we do revamps. We make a list of things that need attention, then let creativity & imagination work together with our supplies and we just 'see what happens.' This method rarely yields disappointment, and insures the uniqueness of everything made.

Here's Caruso at one of our favorite suppliers, "La Casa De Las Viejas."
Lord knows how much money we've spent at this little shop!

Thanks to all these nice people for coming to see our shows this week:

another Monday

Another weekend gone in a flash. The days sure seem to melt together lately. Our show last night at the Kabbalah center of Boca Raton was a lot of work - but a lot of fun. The audience and hospitality made it a night to remember. Here's a picture of the girls rehearsing before the show. As you can see it was a small venue, but that only makes our show look BIGGER!

Skating today in South Beach made for a nice, albeit short, day off. I am not a fan of losing an hour of daylight every fall; especially on my day off! Tomorrow it's back on AA flight #775 to St. Thomas to perform our 3 big shows on the Carnival Triumph, returning back to Miami from San Juan on Wednesday morning. It's always an exhausting trip, although once again - the audience and hospitality make each trip something to safely tuck away in my memory banks. These are the good ol' days indeed.

Thanks to this great audience at the Kabbalah Center last night!

Quick update

My buddy Mitchell came by the theater last night and took some great pictures. You can preview them at www.MagicalPhotos.com

In 'other news', the show we produced for the Carnival Conquest, starring Deja, the Diva of Deception, completed it's 5 year contract last week. . . and because of the positive reviews has been extended indefinitely. We don't really have a website for her show yet, but you can see the "under construction" version at www.DejaMagic.com. Congratulations Deja!

Tonight we have a special performance at the Kabbalah center in Boca Raton. Our good friend and side-splitting funny man Gene Merola will open for us. Looking forward to it.

Here are the great audiences we had this week on the ship and Deauville!

catching up

I've been so busy trying to catch up on everything... I kinda forgot about the blog... oops!
I have a good excuse - the last two weeks have been crazy. Two itinerary changes on the Triumph kept us at sea longer than expected... twice. The days at home have been spent tackling the growing list of maintenance and 'evolution'. I finished building a new patio deck as part of a larger on-going landscaping project. At the theater we have been updating the lighting system and giving the show some fresh new looks. And, speaking of shows, they have been going great. Full houses and standing ovations.

This is shot I took of Lumpy, our red-tail Boa. He "appears" in our show at the Deauville.

Thanks to all these great people who saw our show over the past 2 weeks!
